Audiovisual Content

The work begins with content creation, which involves recording a presentation of the Gospel, or even a portion of the Bible, in different languages and dialects.

This involves finding a speaker of the language in which the presentation is to be recorded and recording it. Generally, there is no written support available, so the speaker must be able to translate the presentation from an existing language, which they will then translate orally into the target language. The recording is done live, and then the translation is verified by asking another speaker to translate back.

Let's use an example to clarify this process.

Step 1

We would like to provide an audio presentation of the Gospel in the Niaboua language.

Step 2

We are looking for someone fluent in the Niaboua language.

Step 3

This person must also be fluent in a language in which the presentation already exists (for example, French).

Step 4

The person will then orally translate the presentation from French into Niaboua, and this translation will be recorded live.

Step 5

We will then seek a second person fluent in both Niaboua and French, asking them to translate from Niaboua into French to ensure that the first person's translation is accurate.

Step 6

The content is definitively created and integrated into the database of existing audio translations.

The existing content is varied and sometimes combined with visual aids. These include a presentation of the Gospel in nearly 7,000 languages, entitled Good News: an overview of the Bible in 40 sequences, covering the story of salvation from creation to the resurrection, and some basics of Christian life. Or The Bible in 8 Series, which presents Bible lessons on figures from the Old Testament up to the story of Acts, each recording ending with a short message about Jesus and salvation by faith. Finally, The Living Christ, a harmony of the Gospels. AUDIO VIE FRANCE may make recordings directly to create content, but most often uses existing recordings made available by other organizations: Héritage Huguenot, AEE, Faith Comes By Hearing, Global Recordings Network, Bible Centers, Ecclémusica, Davar Audio Bibles, WOL, Jesus Film Project, Script Union, Lumo, etc.
